Golden triangle tour India is a tourist circuit which connects the national capital Delhi, Agra and Jaipur

The Golden Triangle Tour India is so called because of the triangular shape formed by the locations of New Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan on a map. The trips usually start in Delhi moving south to the site of Taj Mahal at Agra, then west, to the desert landscapes of Rajasthan. It is normally possible to do the trip by coach or private journey through most tour operators. The Golden Triangle is now a well traveled route providing a good spectrum of the country’s different landscapes. The circuit is about 720 km by road. Each leg is about 4 to 6 hours of drive. The Shatabdi express train also connects Delhi with Agra and Jaipur.

Day 1 :- Arrival New Delhi + City Tour + Drive to Agra

9am – Morning pick up from Airport/Railway Station/Hotel/Your Desire Place in Delhi and proceed on the half day city tour of Delhi, On the 1st day of your 3 Day Golden Triangle Tour India arrival in Delhi. In New Delhi we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. The India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and drive past the grand government buildings the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of British Raj

Day 2 :- Agra to Jaipur (240 KMS / 4 HRS)

8am – we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, including the magnificent Taj Mahal one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the 3 Day Golden Triangle Tour India . (Taj Mahal remain closed on every Friday). Later we visit Agra Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques. Post lunch transfer to the old walled city of Jaipur – Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa – Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. The palaces and forts of the yesteryears, which were witnesses to the royal processions and splendors, are now living monuments. Optional –Enroute we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri – which has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 :- Jaipur Sightseeing and drive to Delhi drop

8am – On last day of 3 Day Golden Triangle Tour India, After breakfast check out & proceed to visit of Amber Fort – (ascend the imposing fort on a decorated painted elephant), which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. Hawa Mahal – built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, Hawa Mahal is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur. After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace, the principle residence of the ruling family and is known for its stunning architecture. Part of it now converted into a magnificent museum. Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory raised in the 18th century. Time permitting visit cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets & textiles. Witness how silk carpets are handmade.
